Ann Louise Roswald is celebrating a decade of original prints and fabulous fashion.
Celebrating the label's 10th birthday with an exciting collection that showcases her artistry with print and colour Ann Louise Roswald's Spring 09 collection combines sharp tailoring and luxurious fabrics to give us her most thrilling and mature collection to date.
COLOUR There are three main colour stories; a riot of tomato reds and jungle greens, soft warm cocoa and cream, and the third is classic crisp navy and white. Flashes of silver and gold metallics add a delicate sparkle to each story.
PRINT Signature large and small painted tulips are splashed exuberantly onto fine Italian silk satin, jersey and textured cotton. Coats, dresses, skirts and jackets are available in the prints and block colours that can be matched and contrasted making the collection wonderfully versatile. Outfits are easy to create by mixing coats and jackets with any dress or skirt - each piece will interact and compliment the other.
LUXE FABRICS Working with English silk weavers Ann Louise Roswald has created her own woven fabrics. There is a particularly luxurious 'bubble jacquard weave' which looks sensational in a navy and cream coat with a delicate glint of silver lurex running through the fabric.
TIMELESS Gorgeous dresses to suit every shape and occasion from soft silk jersey tea dresses to chic tailored shifts not forgetting several very sexy cocktail dresses, pure red carpet evening gowns and a signature full skirted prom dress with dramatic tiers and ruffles that embodies timeless romance and charm.
GODDESS Full length dresses are pure Goddess gowns, silk chiffon flows from an intricately embellished bodice offered in an array of glorious colour, chartreuse green, dark cocoa, delicate coral rose and a very dramatic malibu aqua-blue. Whilst in ivory the gowns are pure wedding bliss, simple yet sophisticated.
RELAXED The collection also features a very playful daisy print and a more casual graphic print used in more relaxed cotton pieces. The colour palate includes shots of ochre and chartreuse giving an edgy vibe. Hand crochet cover ups and soft, supple Merino knit jackets and coats complete the look.
BIRTHDAY Released as part of the 10th Birthday celebration the limited edition birthday skirt is made from archive raw silk fabric; each skirt will be made with a different print combination and therefore unique. Garments are lovingly created to become collectable, vintage finds for future generations.
GLAMOUR Ann Louise Roswald's Spring Summer 2009 collection is glamorous and chic, with the focus on wonderful colours, unique prints and fine fabrics which are beautifully cut to flatter and make the wearer feel extraordinary as well as stand the test of time.
